List of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) for Flag Football Program

When will teams be formed? 

Teams will be formed around the first practice for 3rd/4th and 5th/6th.  For 2019, this will be around August 28th. For K-2nd division, this will be around September 9th.  

When will my schedule be published?

All schedules will be pushed out after players are assigned to a team.  Schedules will be posted on the Hopkins FB website and through the SportsEngine app.

How can I find my child's schedule?

Download the SportsEngine app from the App store.  This will have up to date schedules for each team.  

What days of the week will kids be practicing?

K-2nd - this program will be Saturday only.  3rd/4th and 5th/6th divisions will practice Wednesday nights in addition to Saturdays.  

What time on Saturdays will each division practice?

This is dependent on the week.  In general, we have the fields reserved from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Practice and games times will vary slightly from week to week within this time period.  

Where will the games/practices be?

The locations are dependent on host for games.  All Hopkins games/practices will be at the Hopkins High School complex.  H11 is the grass field below the watertower, H12 is the grass field adjacent to Tanglen playground, and JV Turf is the turf field to the South of the Varsity fields. 

 K-2 will only be located at the Hopkins complex.  Division 3rd/4th and 5th/6th will be mostly hosted at the Hopkins complex but may have a small number of games at interleague opponents.  All opponents are at suburb adjacent to Hopkins.  

How long is the season?

The season runs from 2 weeks before Labor Day (Shula and Madden Division Only) through the weekend before MEA (roughly mid-October).  The Lombardi Division runs from the Saturday after Labor Day through the weekend before MEA.
