About Hopkins Football League (HFL)

The Hopkins Football League is a youth football organization serving kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade.  Your child does not have to attend Hopkins School District 270 to participate. Each year we have approximately 150 players participating on tackle and flag football teams. HFL tackle teams participate in the Lake Minnetonka Athletic Association and play games against other area teams from Minnetonka, Wayzata, Edina, Orono, St. Louis Park, and Maple Grove.

The HFL seeks to promote the growth and development of our players in a fun, safe and competitive environment that maximizes participation and improves players' skills while developing sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-confidence.

The league teaches the "Heads Up Football" system, which was developed by the USA Football organization. The HFL coaches are all certified by USA Football. For more information about "Heads Up Football", check out
