The Glen Lake Optimist Club was founded in 1950. We are one of more than 2500 local clubs of Optimist International whose members work to make the future brighter by bringing out the best in children, in their communities and in themselves.  Our club focuses its efforts in the Minnetonka and Hopkins area supporting youth programs, scholarships, sports and many other critical organizations that benefit local youth.  The first hockey rink in Minnetonka was built by the Glen Lake Optimists years ago along with the Optimist baseball field.  Serving youth in our community is our priority  and each year we continue to grant money to help fund youth activities and programs in our community.  Our major fundraising efforts are our annual Christmas Tree Lot at Field 3 of the Glen Lake Optimist Fields in Minnetonka, selling pizza at the Minnetonka Summer Fest and other smaller efforts.  We invite those interested in learning more about the Glen Lake Optimists to join us for a complimentary meal at one of our monthly meetings.  See our website to email us and learn more!
