Equipment Pick Up Dates and Times
Equipment pickup is scheduled for Tues. Aug. 9th (6-9pm); Thur. Aug. 11th (6-9pm); and Sat. Aug. 13th (9-12am). Player must be in attendance.
Your registration payment includes a jersey and the use of shoulder pads, helmet, game pants and pant pads.
You will need to purchase from a sporting goods store: mouth guard, practice jersey, cleats, socks, and practice pants (some families buy an extra set of pant pads or purchase practice pants with pads already sewn in, but you can use the pant pads we provide).
Typical color for socks are blue, to match the pants, but check with your coach before the first game.
There is a small charge by each coach or team parent to have the names put on the jerseys.
**There is a $100 charge if equipment is not returned, charged in November. Stay tuned for EQUIPMENT RETURN DATES announced toward the end of the season.
New Co-ed Flag Football Coming this Fall
In addition to tackle, Hopkins Football League (HFL) is offering a Co-ed Flag Football League to 1st- 4th graders.
Program Goal: Provide participants with introductory football skills instruction, strength and conditioning and a ton of fun playing flag football within a house league game schedule.

Program Timing; Total of 9 Saturday's beginning August 20th through October 15th 3:00—4:30pm.
Program Location: Hopkins High School Practice Fields
Equipment: All players will wear T-shirts, shorts and football shoes. A mouth guard is required during practice and games. A reversible team jersey and flag belt will be provided.

The Hopkins Football League is an entirely volunteer driven youth tackle football league serving kids in 3rd through 8th grade. Your child does not have to attend Hopkins School District 270 to participate. Each year we have approximately 200 players participating on more than 12 teams. HFL teams participate in the Lake Minnetonka Athletic Association and play games against other area teams from Minnetonka, Wayzata, Mound, Orono, St. Louis Park, and Maple Grove.
The HFL seeks to promote the growth and development of our players in a fun, safe and competitive environment that maximizes participation and improves players' skills while developing sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-confidence. The HFL season begins with practices in mid-August followed by a game schedule that begins right after school starts and concludes in mid-October at the beginning of MEA week.
